Terms & Conditions
1. Booking
A non-refundable booking fee is required to secure your wedding date.
The amount will be confirmed within your individual proposal and invoice.
Your date is not reserved until this payment has been received.
Payment of the booking fee confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
2. Quotations
All proposals are valid for 14 days from issue.
Proposals reflect an overall design concept and creative direction.
Availability and pricing must be reconfirmed if booking occurs after the validity period.
3. Payment
The remaining balance is due 1 month prior to the wedding date.
Full payment must be received before delivery and installation.
FLORISTA reserves the right to withhold services if payment is not received by the due date.
4. Pricing & Market Conditions
All proposals are based on current market prices at the time of quotation.
As flowers are seasonal and subject to global supply conditions, prices may fluctuate due to market availability, supplier increases, import restrictions or fuel costs.
In the event of significant cost increases beyond our control, FLORISTA reserves the right to adjust the final balance accordingly. Any such changes will be communicated in writing prior to the final payment date.
5. Seasonal Availability & Substitutions
Flowers are seasonal and subject to availability at market.
While every effort is made to source the varieties outlined in your proposal, specific flower types cannot be guaranteed due to seasonal shifts, supplier limitations, quality standards or unforeseen supply issues.
Where necessary, FLORISTA reserves the right to substitute flowers with varieties of similar colour, style and value in order to maintain the agreed aesthetic and overall design intent.
The floral proposal reflects a creative direction rather than a guarantee of exact stem varieties.
6. Changes to Order
Changes are welcomed up to 30 days prior to the wedding date.
After this time, reductions cannot be guaranteed due to flower ordering and supplier commitments.
Additions requested within 72 hours of the event are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
7. Cancellation
All cancellations must be confirmed in writing.
The booking fee is non-refundable.
If cancellation occurs:
• More than 60 days before the wedding — the booking fee is retained
• Between 60 and 30 days before the wedding — 50% of the total contracted amount is payable
• Within 30 days of the wedding — the full contracted amount is payable
This reflects flower ordering, supplier commitments and reserved production time.
8. Postponement
If your wedding date changes, FLORISTA will make reasonable efforts to transfer your booking to a new date within 12 months, subject to availability.
If unavailable on the new date, the booking fee remains non-refundable.
Any seasonal or supplier price adjustments may apply to a rescheduled date.
9. Hire Items & Responsibility
All hire items supplied by FLORISTA remain our property at all times.
The Client is responsible for all hire items from the time of delivery and installation until collection.
No hire items may be moved, altered or removed without prior agreement.
Any loss, theft, damage or breakage — whether caused by guests, venue staff or third parties — will be charged at full replacement value.
Where collection is delayed due to venue restrictions or access limitations, additional labour or collection charges may apply.
10. Venue Access & Installation
The Client is responsible for ensuring suitable access for delivery, installation and breakdown.
Clear working areas must be provided.
Delays caused by venue restrictions or access issues outside of FLORISTA’s control may incur additional labour charges.
11. Force Majeure
FLORISTA is not liable for failure to perform due to circumstances beyond reasonable control including, but not limited to, extreme weather, government restrictions, venue closure, supplier failure or acts of God.
12. Photography
FLORISTA reserves the right to photograph completed work and use images for portfolio, website and marketing purposes.
If privacy is required, this must be confirmed in writing prior to the wedding date.
13. Liability
FLORISTA’s liability is limited to the value of services provided.
Once installed, floral arrangements and hire items are the responsibility of the Client and/or venue.
FLORISTA is not responsible for damage caused by guests, venue staff or third parties.
14. Acceptance
Payment of the booking fee confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
